What you could author with Ario

Ten samples, each one a document somebody already has in a drafts folder. A course unit, an incident write-up, an objection doc, authored here instead. Open one and read it exactly as a reader would.

Nothing here is a mock-up. Each one is a book: the figures move, the dials drag, and it reads the way anything on the shelf reads. Find the one nearest what you have, and ask for it about your own subject.

Course unit

dropcap · quiz · dial · intervals · +1

The lesson you have taught a dozen times

One idea, taught to somebody working alone. They try it before they are told, and the figure answers as they move it.

Technical deep dive

lede · magnitude · steps · note

The engineering blog post nobody finishes

The change you made and why it worked, for the colleague who was not in the room. Numbers first, so the reader knows what was actually at stake.

Read it

Philosophical concept

dropcap · quiz · fold · pullquote

The idea you can never explain at dinner

An old problem, set out so the reader feels the difficulty rather than being told it exists. They commit to an answer before anyone argues with them.

Sales playbook

lede · matrix · cheatsheet · note

The objection-handling doc that lives in six versions

What they said, what they meant, and what to say back. Built so a new rep can find their situation rather than read the whole thing.

Read it

Onboarding guide

lede · steps · numbered · note

The wiki page that was last true in March

A first week that somebody can actually follow, in the order it happens, with the things they are meant to do separated from the things they are meant to know.

Post-mortem

lede · timeline · worked · numbered

The incident doc that blames a person

What happened, in the order it happened, and what actually changed afterwards. Written so the next team can learn from it without having been there.

Read it

Research explainer

lede · stat · intervals · note

The paper you keep sending people who never read it

What a study actually found, what it does not say, and how sure anyone should be. The uncertainty is drawn rather than described.

Read it

Product guide

lede · table · dial · note

The API page that answers everything except the question

How a limit behaves, in the terms of somebody hitting it at three in the morning. The numbers are draggable rather than tabulated.

Strategy memo

lede · dial · table · compare · +1

The decision doc that gets re-argued every quarter

A choice, with what it costs written down. Built so the reader reaches the decision themselves rather than being asked to trust it.

Field guide

lede · matrix · views · trend · +3

The style guide nobody opens twice

How to tell near-identical things apart, arranged so somebody can find the one in front of them instead of reading it through.
